  Summary of Badawi, 2024
This study explores how discipline works in Japanese classrooms. It shows that teachers use routines, respect, and shared responsibilities to guide student behavior. Instead of punishment, students learn discipline through daily tasks like cleaning and group work. Teachers model good behavior, and students follow by example.
The study suggests that schools can reduce punishment by using structure and teamwork. Students feel more responsible when they are part of the classroom routine. While these methods come from Japanese culture, other schools can learn from them. With careful changes, similar routines can help students behave better and feel more included.Â
